Harbor Industries manufacturing facility is located in Charlevoix, Michigan. The plant, completed in 2001, was custom designed for maximum efficiency of the short-run, labor-intensive manufacturing that P.O.P. now requires. We have 300,000 square foot and employ nearly 300 people with 24/7 manufacturing capacity. The assembly area is formatted in a work-cell environment utilizing 14 flexible assembly lines to meet the requirements of some of the biggest names in the world of consumer goods and retailing. The lines can be reset quickly to react to client demand.

Charlevoix's woodworking department includes multiple-head CNC routing machines, computerized sawing centers, edgebanders, vacuum press and drilling equipment. Charlevoix's mill operation is capable of processing 750,000 board feet of wood per month. That translates to 10 semi truckloads full of lumber every week. All of that lumber is being used only for merchandising or retail display applications, making Harbors' Charlevoix operation arguably the highest volume wood plant in the P.O.P. industry.

Harbor Industries, Inc. achieved ISO 9001 certification in August 1998. Harbor was one of the first companies in our industry to achieve this distinction. ISO 9001 is the most comprehensive of all the ISO standards. It includes design, development, production, installation and service. Continuing to comply with ISO, Harbor is currently 9001-2000 certified. We also certify our suppliers for ISO compliance.
